Dean & Vice-Deans
The Dean for Student Affairs and three Vice-Deans: who handles your programme, when they hold office hours and what they decide. For formalities, start with the Dean's Office.
Find the Vice-Dean for your programme
Most matters are handled by the Vice-Dean for your programme. Some decisions, including leave, resuming studies and transfers, belong to the Dean. In both cases, the Dean's Office gives you the first information.

Matters decided by the Dean
- removal from the student register
- resuming studies, including to sit the diploma exam
- transfer between programmes
- transfer between modes of study (full-time and part-time)
- leave of any kind
- confidentiality of a diploma thesis
- cooperation with the Student Government and student organisations
Vice-Deans for Student Affairs
For most individual matters, go to the Vice-Dean for your programme. The exceptions are decided by the Dean (see the list above).
- all individual student matters except those decided by the Dean
- supervising course assessments and exams
- an assessment or exam on a date other than the approved one
- appointing diploma exam committees
- handling student complaints and requests
- interpreting regulations at a student's request
- mediating disputes between students and University staff
