OUR PROJECTS
Because studies are more than just lectures.
We implement projects that integrate students, support their development, and enrich the academic life of the Wrocław University of Economics.
ADAPCIAK
Adaptation is an eight-day camp for first-year students at our University, with many attractions planned, and each day culminates in an unforgettable themed party! During the trip, participants have the opportunity to get to know each other better.
and integrate and take advantage of the last free days before the start of the new academic year.
ANIMALIA
Animalia is a charity project whose primary goal is to raise funds to save endangered animal species. The project is divided into two events: one at the Wrocław Zoo, where visitors can enjoy attractions prepared by the team, and the second, an evening full of surprises at the beach bar, aimed primarily at students. Additionally, we are collaborating with the DODO Foundation, which operates at the Wrocław Zoo.
It is dedicated to saving endangered animal species, and each year we choose an animal from among its beneficiaries to receive the funds raised during Animalia.
BAL UEW
Bal UEW is a joint initiative of the University Authorities and the Student Government of the Wrocław University of Economics, aimed at building positive relationships between academic staff, students, alumni and friends of the University.
By organizing the Ball, we aim to strengthen our sense of identity with our alma mater. The University Authorities honor us with their presence, but any student can also participate in the Ball by registering using the registration form. During this special evening, "Economist" statuettes are awarded to the most distinguished administrative, research, and teaching staff.
DNI ADAPTACYJNE
Quizzes instead of tests, exams instead of tests, lectures, exercises, modules... It's easy to get lost. That's why we created Adaptation Days. These are lectures and training sessions that gradually introduce first-year students to their new daily routine. New students learn about their rights and responsibilities, but also about the university's rules. What is a student quarter, who the Dean is, what the assessment process looks like, and what opportunities there are for development at our university. However, content isn't everything, so after each intensive day, we show first-years that interpersonal relationships are just as important during their studies, during events at Zaprzegubie or the UE Party.
GRADUETION
Everyone wants to experience a graduation experience like something out of an American movie. That's why we launched the GradUEtion initiative. This is our student government's latest project, and it's already winning the hearts of future graduates. Inspired by American traditions, we decided to create an unforgettable event that combines the graduation ceremony with a joyful celebration of our graduates' achievements. To create a unique atmosphere, each student dons an elegant gown and mortarboard, and the most exciting moment of the ceremony is the traditional cap toss, symbolizing the end of one chapter of life and the beginning of a new one.
MOSTY EKONOMICZNE
Mosty Ekonomiczne is a student exchange program between five partner, top economic universities in Poland. The Bridges program dates back to 2005, when, at the initiative of the Student Governments of the Warsaw School of Economics and the Wrocław University of Economics, a project aimed at broadly integrating academic communities was launched.
The four-day trip includes lectures, workshops, meetings, and case studies led by students, faculty, partner companies, media outlets, and specially invited guests. Participants have the opportunity to see firsthand how students at other universities study and live .
T
The Economic Knowledge Test is a unique initiative co-created by five student governments from Poland's largest economic universities, in collaboration with the Economic Universities Forum. Modeled after the Great Test organized by Polish Television, the project's main goal is to develop students' competencies in economics and popularize science within the student community. The test is divided into two stages:
Stage I: approximately 100 students at each university try their hand at solving closed-ended questions in the field of economics.
Stage II: the grand finale, in which the 5 best participants from each city will compete in one of the cities of the partner universities.
TEDxUEW
TED is an American media organization that publishes talks online. Its primary goal is to promote ideas worth sharing. For our world to change for the better, we need to popularize noble ideas – this is the genesis of TEDx, which has become an independent event organized locally around the world. Its intention was to enable passionate people to present ideas worth sharing. Speakers on stage attempt to sow seeds of inspiration among listeners through short stories lasting just a few minutes.
UE PARTY
Each of us knows perfectly well that a student's life is not all about studying. Beyond student duties
And you should also find time for relaxation, entertainment, and fun. That's why we're organizing the UE Party. It's a series of events dedicated specifically to students at our university, but also to all students in Wrocław. Each event is incredibly popular and proudly attracts crowds.
