What we do every day

We represent

Student representatives sit in the Senate, where they make up 20% of its members, and on the Rector's committees. The Student Government Chair is a member of the University Council. The Senate adopts the study regulations in agreement with the Student Government, and the Rector sets the scholarship rules in consultation with the Student Government.

We help

We help you find your way through the University's rules and procedures, from scholarship applications to matters at the dean's office. The Student Ombudsman explains the regulations and advises on what to do, and the Student zone collects answers to the most common questions.

We create

From Adapciak and the Adaptation Days before your first lecture all the way to GradUEtion at the end of your studies. Ten projects a year, including the UEW Ball, TEDxUEW and Wrocław Juwenalia.

How we are organised

Each body of the Student Government has its own task. Some represent students and handle day-to-day matters, others adopt the rules, check that they are followed or run elections. All of them work under the Student Government Regulations.

The Student Government's bodies act on behalf of all students of Wroclaw University of Economics and Business. You can vote in their elections, stand as a candidate or join one of the project teams when recruitment opens.
  1. Student Government ChairrepresentsRepresents all students of Wroclaw University of Economics and Business at the University and beyond, including as a member of the University Council. Leads the work of the Board and the University Student Government Council. Appoints 2 to 3 Vice-Chairs and assigns them specific areas.
  2. BoardexecutesThe executive body, headed by the Chair. It handles the Student Government's day-to-day work and carries out the Council's resolutions. Each Board member is responsible for an area: administration, teaching and quality of education, finance, external relations, promotion, human resources and the Jelenia Góra branch.
  3. University Student Government CouncillegislatesThe Student Government's highest law-making body. It adopts the Student Government's regulations and budget, elects the Chair and approves the Board. It agrees the study regulations, gives its opinion on scholarship rules and takes positions on matters that concern students.
  4. Student Electoral CommitteeelectsA three-member electoral body. It sets the election calendar, prepares voter lists, organises the vote and makes sure it runs properly. Its members cannot stand as candidates.
  5. Audit CommitteeauditsA three-member supervisory body. It handles student complaints about the Student Government's bodies, checks how the budget is spent and rules on the validity of elections and Council votes.
  6. Jelenia Góra Branch Student Governmentworks in the branchRepresents students of the UEW branch in Jelenia Góra and builds academic life on site.
