What Debiuty Studenckie is

Debiuty Studenckie is a series published by the Wrocław University of Economics and Business Press, which has been operating since 1955 and puts out more than 100 titles a year. The series is addressed directly to student research circles: a place where a paper, article or chapter written in a circle can become a real publication.

Year I or II is enough
The authors are first- and second-year students. You don't need to wait for your master's thesis or have a research track record. A text worth showing is enough.
CC BY-SA 4.0, no hidden barriers
Every publication is released in open access under a Creative Commons licence. You can freely share it, cite it, and build on it.
Made for research circles
The series is addressed directly to student research circles: a natural place to turn a circle's project into a real publication with an ISBN.

The path to publication

This is the road from a course paper to a publication, in short. The UEW Press sets the current submission rules and deadlines.

  1. You have a text

The starting point is a paper, article, or chapter written for a course or in a research circle.

  2. You refine it with a mentor

Together with your academic supervisor or instructor, you sharpen the thesis, structure, and writing of the text.

  3. You submit it to the series

The finished text is submitted to the UEW Press as an entry for the Debiuty Studenckie series.

  4. It goes through review

The text is assessed on its content and form before moving further into the publishing process.

  5. Layout and an ISBN

After a positive review, the text goes through editorial layout and is assigned an ISBN.

  6. Publication in open access

The finished publication is released in open access under CC BY-SA 4.0, available to everyone free of charge.
