Audit Committee

The Committee's powers

• Accepting student complaints about the actions of the Student Government's bodies and their units.
• Auditing how the Chair, Vice-Chairs and Board carry out the Student Government budget.
• Carrying out audits commissioned by the University Student Government Council.
• Ruling on the validity of elections to Student Government bodies.
• Ruling on the validity of Council votes and of votes held online.
• Confirming or annulling the election of the Chair, Vice-Chairs and Board members.
• Checking that Student Government documents comply with the Statute, the Study Regulations, the University Statute and higher law.

How the Committee works

Three members, full quorum

The Committee has three members. Resolutions pass by an absolute majority with all members present.

Independent of the Board

No one may join who, on the day of the election, is the Chair, a Vice-Chair, or a member of the Council, the Board, the Electoral Committee, the Peer Court or the Appeal Peer Court.

When an act breaks the rules

If a resolution, regulation or ordinance of a Student Government body breaks the rules, the Committee asks the Rector to repeal it.

Settles disputes over the Statute

The Committee settles disputes over the meaning and scope of the Student Government Statute by resolution.
