From the final grade to your defence.

You are not uploading a file. You are closing a process.

Uploading to APD is just one of several stages. We show what submitting your thesis really means, where the process can stall, and your next step all the way to the defence.

Find the first real blocker

Select only conditions that are actually complete. The result does not assess your thesis - it orders dependencies and identifies the next step.

The state stays only in this browser tab. Nothing is stored or transmitted.

The crucial definition

When is a thesis submitted?

Green light 1 · APD

Your supervisor accepted the thesis and sent it for review in APD.

Green light 2 · USOS

USOS contains every grade required by your curriculum. You need both green lights at once.

Six stages, not a single upload

Every state has a different owner and risk. Do not plan the defence as if everything happened instantly after upload.

This is a responsibility map, not a copy of the APD interface. Select a stage to see its owner and the evidence that the process has actually moved on.

Whose side: You

APD and metadata

You complete PL/EN data, accept the declaration and send the thesis to the supervisor.

How to know this stage is complete

APD shows a complete thesis record, the correct file and a status confirming transfer to the supervisor.

JSA lab

Colour is a signal, not a verdict

PRP helps the supervisor read the similarity report. It does not automatically assess authorship and cannot replace source analysis.

The report still needs to be read

A low PRP does not end the analysis. The supervisor checks where similarities come from and whether quotations and borrowed material are marked correctly.

The current rules allow no more than two JSA checks. The supervisor decides within 3 working days after receiving the report.

Defence table simulator

Three people. Three angles.

The oral exam includes three questions. Instead of studying everything in the same way, prepare a separate strategy for each question type.

The date and committee should appear in APD at least 7 days before the exam.

How this person thinks

Can you place your thesis in the wider context of your programme?

The question comes from the published topic list for your programme. It checks orientation in the discipline, not just recall of one definition.

How to prepare

Work through the 40 or 50 topics and prepare a definition, relationships and one example for each.

See what really weighs on the result

Enter your study average, two thesis grades and three exam question grades. The calculator uses the weights from the Study Regulations.

This simulates components and weights, not the official diploma grade. UEW determines the final result and its classification under the applicable rules.
